JUMP ROPE FOR HEART:
Last Wednesday we held our Jump Rope for Heart jump off. All the children participated to the best of their ability and everyone had a great time. Thank-you to all those who sponsored children and to those who were able to come up to school and support the children in their endeavours. As a side to the event the school raised approximately $300.00 towards supporting the National Heart Foundation. This was a great effort from a small group of children. Photos of the children participating in Jump Rope for Heart are included with this Newsletter.
SMALL SCHOOLS SPORTS:
The District Small School’s Sports Day will be held at Kairi on Thursday 24th July. We have commenced training for this day and will be continuing during this week and the first week back after the holidays. Attached to this newsletter is a menu ordering form for the day. This should be filled out and returned to school by Wednesday of this week. School orders have to be sent to Butcher’s Hill State School by the end of this week.
ATTACHMENTS:
Included with this newsletter is the latest Northern PCAP newsletter. Irvinebank State School is supported by PCAP and this year we have taken part in a “Kahootz” workshop and will be undertaking leatherwork activities, Travelling to Arts Council events and participating in Science days. All these activities are made possible through PCAP funding.
